Bodegas Valdaya is situated in Sotillo de la Ribera. We manage
15 Ha of vineyard in the heart of Ribera del Duero. Our soils produce low
fertility and situated at 900 metres above sea level, unbeatable conditions for
our Tempranillo, high concentration and quality grapes. We have the best conditions so that Valdaya enjoys a
great terroir, because of our good work in the vineyard and our care of our
grapes until the very end, we produce a wine with its own identity, character
whilst maintaining, above all, the typicality of a Tempranillo. We have modernized our winery with the aim of carrying
out parceling vinification adapting the elaboration technique to the qualities
of the grape, with the objective of expressing our terroir in the most natural
form possible. We produce four types of wine, depending on the
vintage, yield and age of our vineyards; producing a fruity and expressive
young wine, a gentle oaky wine that maintains its freshness in your mouth, a
subtle yet complex Crianza and an original and elegant Select Vintage for the
most demanding palates.

1. Valdaya Roble
Appearance: Vibrant cherry alive, deep and bright colour.
Aroma: With deep refined aromas of red fruits, like forest fruits, strawberries and blackcurrant. Tobacco leaf and smoked sensation from start to finish.
Taste: Juicy up-front but it keeps its freshness. Tasty, powerfull, with a good finish.
100% Tempranillo.
4-6 months in French, Hungarian and American oak barrels.
2. Valdaya Crianza
Appearance: Ripe cherry colour with mauve highlights, clear and luminous.
Aroma: Refined and elegant red fruit fragance, recalling blackberries and raspberries. Delicate aroma of clove and pepper also present. Firm and nicely integrated, lightly toasted oak.
Taste: THis honest and complex wine begins on a smooth aproach with very long aromatic persistence. The finish is spicy with notes of blackberry jam. Its firm tannic structure and excellent acidity improve with several years of ageing.
100% Tempranillo. 12 months in French oak barrels.
3. Valdaya Vendimia Seleccionada
Appearance: Bright and deep bordeaux-red.
Aroma: Great complexity. Intense aromas of forest fruits, blackberries and blackcurrant, giving way to balsamic accents of coppice, violet and a soot-like finish.
Taste: Nice entry, with an excellent acidity. delicate and focused in mouth. Great structure and minerality perfectly integrated in the grapes flavour and the barrels ageing. We predict an elegant palate and alluring bouquet for our vendimia seleccionada.
100% Tempranillo. 10-14 months in French oak barrels.
4. Valdaya Joven
This new blend showcases notes of blackberry classics, blueberry and spice. Fresh, juicy fruit flavours coat the palate, with sweet spices skirting the edges. A dazzling young wine.
